Quantum Hugs - The John and Joy Collins Foundation

"Making the world better...one life at a time"

Quantum Hugs John Collins Foundation

About the Foundation

Quantum Hugs is the philanthropic initiative of the John and Joy Collins Foundation -- connecting people who want to help with those who need that help.

Quantum Hugs has an open, caring heart that seeks out people in need, and then with all its might, strives to make life better for them, even if it's only in a small way.

Staying true to our mission, Quantum Hugs will focus on relatively unknown organizations, special unsung angels who are helping others, or individuals who have fallen through the cracks of our world and are in desperate straits.

In quantum physics, a quantum is the smallest amount of physical energy that can exist independently, yet it is full of potential. Along similar lines, a Quantum Hug will have the ability to do what seems like a little, yet will have amazing far-reaching effects.

Our Goals for 2012 are:

  • Sponsor a dog for a returning vet to help him or her with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or a head injury in order to help them transition back into society.
  • Start a nursing scholarship.
  • Identify local, perhaps relatively unknown, heroes and heroines who are helping their communities and assist them as they help others.
  • Sponsor an assistance or therapy dog.
  • Identify a local women's shelter who will partner with us to build a kennel for the pets of families they are housing.
